Andrea Postacchini 1830
Andrea Postacchini (1788-1862) worked in Fermo, and is known as the "Stradivari" of the Marches, a region of central Italy. This violin is an excellent example of his work, with a beautiful, gracefully carved scroll and lovely reddish brown varnish. The tone is a wonderful soprano which is balanced by a rich lower register. The response is lightning fast. A violin for the connoisseur. Accompanied by a Dario D'Attili certificate.
